"OUTLAW IN-LAWS" hosted by Ellie Tesher. Mondays on Slice Network 8:30 P.M. ET
[TORONTO] – Media Headquarters is delighted to announce that season two of the high-rated reality series Outlaw In-laws has begun airing on Slice. “It’s great to be back helping families with their in-law issues”, says Executive Producer Robert Cohen. “This season promises a fresh crop of spirited in-laws problems that are sure to challenge Ellie.”
Whether the issue is home schooling, video game overload, or dealing with a sister-in-law who’s a witch, internationally renowned advice expert Ellie Tesher uses her trademark wisdom and wit to get troubled families back on track.
One of the best in the business, Ellie Tesher’s internationally syndicated column runs in newspapers across North America including The Toronto Star and The Chicago Sun-Times. During her twenty-five year career, she has helped thousands of people solve relationship problems.
According to Tesher, "some of the most persistent and troublesome problems are in-law issues. In-laws are often the butt of jokes, but the truth is that in-law problems are pervasive. If they aren't addressed, they can lead to broken marriages and families”.
Series creator Robert Cohen says, "Outlaw In-Laws brings a fresh perspective to reality television. We all know adult parents can be just as unruly to deal with as children. We wanted to create a series that shows audiences they aren't alone dealing with exasperating family members, and that their problems can be overcome."
The first season of OUTLAW IN-LAWS was a ratings success for Slice Network and has significantly contributed to the newly re-branded network’s audience growth. Alliance Atlantis reported that since re-launching the Life Network as Slice in Spring 2007 the time periods airing OUTLAW IN-LAWS saw a 60% AMA growth for Women 18-49.
In this new season of Outlaw In-Laws, Ellie helps: a daughter in-law who refuses to enroll her child in school; a sister-in-law who is a practicing witch; a video game obsessed son in-law; an Eastern European mother in-law determined to turn her granddaughters into perfect housewives; a Christian fundamentalist convinced that her son has transgressed to the dark side; and a secretive and paranoid son in-law who hides out from his cruel mother in-law.
Outlaw In-Laws broadcasts on the Slice Network on Mondays at 8:30 PM ET. The series is produced and created by the Emmy and Gemini nominated producing team of Robert Cohen and Shari Cohen.
Produced with the participation of Rogers Cable Network Fund.
